KTBF 2018: The keys for a brighter future is yours – Highlights
The popular cliché that “the youths are the leaders of tomorrow” is not a joke, as that is nothing but pure reality. It is with this foundational knowledge that the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival movement deemed it fit to organise the annual international youth programme.
This year’s programme tagged “Keys to a Brighter Future” took place at the Church Revival Ground, Ijesha Lagos, Nigeria on the 24th and the 25th of August, 2018.
The programme which has its inception on Friday, being the 24th and ended on the 25th kicked off in full force. The chorus leaders led the youth in deep praise and worship to glorify God for life, mercy and testimonies so far.
Following this session, the moderator took over by welcoming the guests and members to the much anticipated youth gathering.
The vision, mission and mandate was also read out and explained extensively as it is paramount in revealing the foundation and covenant, on which the church is established.
However, while all these were going on, the red carpet section was streamed live to the church and also to the viewers at home. On the red carpet, some of the guests, new comers and participants from other countries were interviewed. They shared their excitement, expectations, and testimonies and made an open invitation to viewers to follow. Thereafter, the hosts handed over to the moderator, who began the programme in full with opening prayers.
Choral groups from countries like Ghana, Togo, Benin republic and Cote D’Ivoire were called on to minister to the congregation; it was beautiful and glorious to behold various youths minister in songs, both in their national and local languages. Their ministration blessed the people immensely and left an assurance mark that their expectations will be met. The Public Relation Youth choir, Campus and Central Youth choir, as well blessed the congregation with their rendition.
Striking miracles were also shared, all to the glory of God. Sister Nnenna, a graduate testified of bagging first class in political science and receiving great academic results. A brother also testified of getting healed after 2 years of suffering from paralysis. Other testimonies constituted the miracles of wonders of God of Chosen.
Following the testimony session, the youths were divided into classes for workshop/seminar training. Practical life teachings, on topics like Digital marketing, Internet and you, Rising above pressure and Marriage talks were extensively treated. The youths took down these teaching for present application and future references.
Facilitators and speakers mounted the podium and ministered to the youth differently. Their messages include; ‘Transformation for a glorious tomorrow’ ‘An excellent Christian life’, Discover, Develop, Determine, and Deliver etc. These messages covered the various areas of life issues, but more importantly centred on relevant facts, in preparing for a brighter future.
To round off the programme, the General overseer came on board to minister in words and prayers. He centered on the keys to a brighter future, which includes purity, holiness, holyGhost baptism, fruits and gifts of the spirit, vast knowledge and strong faith in God. He finally prayed for all the youth and delivered into their hands the keys to a brighter future.
Indeed, the youths of this ministry are now charged to explore, excel and do exploits.
