Testimony Of Divine Escape From A Fatal Accident

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness – Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV).

When a man walks through the valley of the shadow of death and returns alive and well, you know that it can only be by God’s intervention. This is the powerful story of our brother, whose life was hanging by a thread after a ghastly accident that claimed others instantly. Read his testimony of divine escape and restoration:

My name is Brother Tochukwu Benson. I want to sincerely thank the God of Chosen for His great mercy upon my life. I am alive today only because of Him, and I do not take it for granted.
On the 10th of June 2025, I was coming back from my shop, my place of business, when I had a terrible accident. It was so serious that I became unconscious for several days. Not just one or two days, I was unconscious for a long time. I didn’t even know what happened to me until people later explained it to me.
I am standing here today only because of God’s mercy. I want to thank Him for fulfilling the words of our General Overseer that no Chosen member will die before their time. I give all the glory to God. My brother will also speak on my behalf because I was not aware of anything that happened during those days.

TESTIFIER’S BROTHER:
Chosen, praise the Lord! I don’t even know where to start in thanking this great God on behalf of my beloved brother. What happened to him is nothing but the hand of God.
That Tuesday, one of our brothers ran into my shop and told me that Brother Tochukwu had been in an accident. At first, I didn’t think it was that serious. But when I stepped into my shop, I just didn’t feel right. I locked everything up and rushed to the general hospital.

When I got there, what I saw shocked me. Tochukwu was completely unconscious. He didn’t wake up on Tuesday, or even on Wednesday or Thursday. They later referred us to another hospital in Surulere for a scan. We took him there, and for 4 to 5 hours he had no idea we had moved him. He didn’t even know he was in the hospital.

It wasn’t until Sunday that he was told he had been taken there in an ambulance. He had no memory of it at all.
Let me tell you how serious that accident was, three people died instantly. This accident happened at 5-star bus stop at Ladipo Market, Lagos State. Even one of the conductors in the accident is now at risk of losing his leg. But the God of Chosen saved my brother. He alone preserved his life.
If you had visited Tochukwu in the hospital, he wouldn’t even recognize you. But look at him standing here today, alive and well. This is only by God’s mercy.
We are here to return all glory, honour, and thanks to the God of Chosen. May His name be highly praised, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
