The God of Chosen Answers Prayer.

Suddenly, The Kidnapper Returned My Son
Psalm 50:15 – “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.”
When trouble comes, God remains our ever-present help and deliverer. Psalm 50:15 reminds us that when we call upon Him in the day of trouble, He will deliver us and give us a reason to glorify His name. This testimony is a powerful demonstration that when God takes over a situation, what appears impossible can suddenly become a testimony.
My name is Bro. Peter David. I am here to thank God for the great and mighty things He has done for me and my family. I joined The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry in 2003, and I give God all the glory for keeping me in this ministry.
About two years ago, God did something extraordinary in my family that I cannot stop testifying about wherever I go.
One day, after my two children and I had finished eating, we were preparing to go out. I went into my room to dress up while my children remained in the sitting room. After my children had finished dressing up, they waited in the sitting room. When I finished dressing and came out, I could not find my son. I asked his sister where her brother was, but she did not know.
We immediately started searching everywhere in the house, but we could not find him. When I went to the kitchen, I noticed that the kitchen door, which had been closed, was now wide open. At that point, I knew that something had happened. We continued searching, but we could not find my son.
His sister came to me and kept asking about her brother. Her question broke my heart because I had no idea where he was.
However, I remembered a message my pastor had shared about two weeks earlier: that whatever was happening or was going to happen was for the name of God to be glorified. I remembered those words, went into my room, knelt down, and prayed, “God, this time is for Your name to be glorified. Please glorify Your name in this matter because I do not know where to look for my son.”
People began to gather and assist us in searching for him. Some suggested that we should report the matter to the police, but I said that I did not want to look to the police; I wanted to look to God.
Suddenly, my son walked back into our midst. I was amazed and asked him, “Where did you go?”
He explained that while he was washing plates in the kitchen, a man appeared at the window and waved at him. Immediately, he became unable to speak. The man then tapped the kitchen door, and although the door had been locked, it opened. The man carried him away.
The security man at the gate saw what was happening but could not do anything because, according to my son, he was also under the same influence.
As they were going, the man gave my son a burger to eat. Because my son was unhappy and unable to speak, he dropped the burger into a gutter. The man took him from Ijesha towards Cele.
I cannot explain what God did that made the kidnapper suddenly rush to return my son. But in his haste to leave, the kidnapper forgot his phone in my son’s hands. By the grace of God, I still have the kidnapper’s phone till today.
I am giving God all the glory because I have never heard of a kidnapper taking someone and then suddenly returning the person by himself. But the God of The Lord’s Chosen intervened and brought my son back safely.
If not for God, my son could have become a forgotten person. But God answered my prayer, fulfilled the word that had been spoken, and turned a terrible situation into a great testimony.
Today, my son is alive, strong, and healthy. Nothing happened to him. I therefore return all the glory to the Almighty God for His divine intervention, protection, and miraculous deliverance.
Indeed, when we call upon God in the day of trouble, He will deliver us. As Psalm 50:15 says, “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.”
You too can experience the power of God. Come and worship with us at The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry close to you and your family. Come and encounter the God who delivers, protects, and turns impossible situations into testimonies. To God alone be all the glory!
