The God of Chosen Answers Prayer.

I Wonder How Chosen Church Is Increasing Rapidly Despite Criticism
Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what He hath done for my soul.” – Psalm 66:16 (KJV)
My name is Sister Halima Eyah. I first started attending The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry about fifteen years ago. At that time, I was following my neighbor to church. After attending two or three times, I began to hear negative comments and criticisms about the church and about our General Overseer, Daddy. Because of what people were saying, I became discouraged and completely stopped going to church.
Towards the end of last year, my younger brother fell seriously ill. Our parents live in the North, so the responsibility of caring for him fell on me. During this difficult time, my mother called and advised me to take my brother to The Lord’s Chosen, reminding me that our neighbor was a member. Honestly, I was reluctant. In my heart, I questioned it and even complained about the cost of transportation from where I was to Lagos, which was about ₦20,000. I refused repeatedly, but my mother kept insisting.
Eventually, she came with some brethren from Zaria and brought my sick brother to The Lord’s Chosen.
When we arrived at the church, the media team approached me for an interview concerning my brother’s condition. I was not interested in speaking and even gave them only my second name. When I was eventually persuaded to stand up for the interview, I looked around and was shocked by what I saw. The church was filled with people, crowds everywhere. I kept looking back and stretching my neck, amazed, saying to myself, “Is this not the same church people spoke badly about?” Yet they are increasing rapidly.
I sat down quietly, overwhelmed. I turned to the woman sitting beside me and told her that I had stopped attending Chosen years ago because of what people said. I then added that I was surprised to see such a massive congregation. I told her that in many churches where people criticize the pastor, the next service you may only find the pastor, his wife, his child, and maybe one member. Yet here, it was completely different.
I told her I wanted to meet the man of God and even interview him, because I am a radio presenter and wanted to ask how it was possible for the church to grow this way. Deep in my heart, I realized the truth: if people were not enjoying the hand of God and benefiting from His power, they would not remain here.
As I watched the congregation closely, I noticed something else. The faces of the people were calm and peaceful. No one was in a hurry. Everyone was focused on prayer. I said to myself, “Wow, this is truly great.”
When the woman beside me learned that I was a radio presenter, she asked how my work was going. I told her I had been on the job for four months and usually got only two or three customers in a month. To my surprise, she immediately asked me to advertise her business for one full month. At that moment, all the sorrow I came with disappeared.
Additionally, I had been experiencing serious leg pain, but that same day, the pain vanished completely. My brother, who had not been eating well, ate a whole tuber of yams worth ₦1,200 that very day.
I stood in awe and said, “This is truly the finger of God.” If not for God’s presence, people would not gather here the way they do. Even without makeup, the people were glowing and looking beautiful, radiating peace and joy.
To God be all the glory!
