How Multiple Afflictions Became Testimonies
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. – Psalm 34:19 (KJV)
There are moments when human help ends, and only divine intervention remains. Moments when sickness defies explanation, danger strikes without warning, and protection can only be described as supernatural.
The testimony you are about to read is one such account. Now, read the full testimony below:
My name is Sister Ifeoma Testimony Okorie. I live at Ikpeyewa Phase 1, Adamu, Ikorodu. Chosen, praise the Lord. I joined The Lord’s Chosen in 2012, and I am grateful to be a Chosen member together with my family. I am here to testify to the goodness of God.
During the December program titled “Only God Can Do This,” I came before the Lord with three specific needs. I began to sow seeds in faith.
At that time, our branch, the Prevailing Branch in Adamu, was newly opened, and we did not yet have flowers on the altar. I went to the market, bought two flowers, and presented them to God as a seed. When the Mgbidi pledge was announced, I pledged and redeemed it. I told God that everything I was doing was an act of faith toward the answers I was expecting.
On December 25, I also sowed a seed of ₦10,000. My three needs were these:
First, I had a serious eye problem and could not see clearly. Second, I was suffering from leg poison. Third, I was the woman whom God delivered in 2023 from a spinal cord problem. I did not fall down or have an accident, yet it started as waist pain, and suddenly, my waist gave way. But the God of Chosen delivered me.
Not only did God restore my bones, He also delivered me from marine spirits, from an ulcer that lasted for fifteen years, and from a spiritual husband. Chosen, praise the Lord.
In 2023, when I came here and sowed a seed, I asked God specifically to touch my waist. On December 25, during the service, our Daddy G.O. mentioned my case. He said that a “pussy cat” spirit was disturbing someone, and he cancelled it. I fell under the anointing. Before then, a strange cat used to cry every night beside my window like a newborn baby. When I returned to my seat after prayers, I told God that what I truly wanted were the three requests I had brought before Him.
On December 26, when Daddy G.O. mounted the pulpit again, he once more mentioned my case. He cancelled the generational curse and also addressed my leg poison. That was how God cancelled the leg poison, the generational curse, and the strange cat. Chosen, praise the Lord.
That same day, when I returned home, I did not see my son. I asked my daughter, and she told me he had left around noon to go to Itamaga. He was supposed to stop there, before the barracks. As he entered the bus from Adamu to Maya, everyone fell asleep. They were carried all the way to Festac. When the men there searched his bag, they found only the “Only God Can Do This” handbill, which he had used to wrap his money. They did not touch him. Instead, they dropped him. My son said he slept there until about 6 p.m., when a woman came and tapped him to wake up.
When he woke up, he realized he was in a swampy area with no houses around. He asked the woman about the three men who had brought him there, but she said she saw no one. She told him to follow a particular road that would lead him to the main road, where he would find a bus going to Second Rainbow and then Oshodi. As he turned back to thank her, the woman had disappeared. That was how my son returned home alive. Chosen, praise the Lord.
My second testimony is this: On December 17, while we were eating dinner, something suddenly prompted me to stand up and go to the kitchen. My children had finished eating and were about to wash their hands in the bowl we normally use. As they stood there talking, I shone a torch into the bowl, and I saw a large snake inside it. My children were about to bend down to wash their hands when I shouted. My husband rushed in with a stick to kill the snake, but it refused to die. I then used a cutlass to cut off its head, and only then did it die. Chosen, praise the Lord. Only God can do this.
This testimony speaks of a God who heals what medicine cannot, who protects where danger lurks unseen, and who delivers in ways no human plan could anticipate. If you are facing persistent affliction, unexplained battles, or situations that appear beyond resolution, the same God who intervened here is still at work today.
