The God of Chosen Answers Prayer.

How Divine Purpose Overturned A Throne
I will overturn, overturn, overturn it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him. – Ezekiel 21:27 (KJV)
This testimony is the account of a man who had completed a distinguished global career and settled abroad only to discover that heaven had already written his assignment. As you read, you will see how God asserts His will and establishes His choice in spite of fierce spiritual and institutional opposition.
My name is His Royal Majesty, Engineer Augustine Chinedu Emelobe, Ezepoko II of Oba. I give this testimony to the glory of Almighty God, because our God is truly a living God. I am a member of The Lord’s Chosen. Some of my siblings and my in-law are also members, and through this church, God began a work of righteousness in Oba.
In 2018, Oba lost our traditional ruler, Ezepoko I. From that moment, the town entered a long season of spiritual conflict. Forces of darkness contended fiercely against the light. Oba had long been known for many vices, but God, through prayer and sacrifice sown by the people of Oba in this church, remembered us.
I retired from Chevron after 28 years of service as General Manager in Facilities Engineering and Mega Capital Projects. I am also a minister of God. After retirement, I relocated to the United States. I had no interest in traditional titles, chieftaincy, or kingship. I simply moved on with my life.
Then God spoke. He told me that my assignment was to return and become the king of Oba. I was shocked. I genuinely thought it could not be God. I even considered that it might be the voice of the devil. I began midnight prayers, every night, for one full year, asking God to clarify His message.
Each time, God gave me the same answer: the reason you were born is to return and take the throne of Oba.
I argued with God. I told Him it was impossible. The chances were slim. The traditional constitution made it nearly impossible for a committed Christian to become king.
But God said clearly: “Everything you have done in life was preparation for this assignment.”
I returned, trusting God. The battle was fierce. The opposition was intense. Powers of darkness fought relentlessly.
While waiting on the Lord, He directed me to Ezekiel 21:27 – “I will overturn, overturn, overturn it… until He comes whose right it is.”
Accusations arose. Threats followed. One night, I was warned that my house would be burned down and advised to flee. I went to God in prayer, and He led me to Psalm 4:8. He promised me peace, rest, and victory over my enemies. And God did exactly as He said.
The kingship election was conducted twice. I won the first. The second was uncontested: I won again. The matter was then taken to the state government, and I was told I would not receive my Certificate of Recognition.
I traveled back to the United States. While I was there, God intervened. Against all expectations, my Certificate of Recognition was issued to me in absentia.
What a mighty God we serve!
Even after that, the opposition continued. I was told I would not be allowed to celebrate Ofala or hold a thanksgiving. But to the glory of God, on January 9th, the Ofala festival was successfully celebrated.
On January 11th, a thanksgiving service was also held, peacefully and gloriously.
Indeed, when God decides, no power can stop Him.
This testimony reminds us that no destiny ordained by God can be cancelled by darkness, delay, or disbelief. If you are facing resistance, confusion, or an assignment that seems impossible, the same God who overturned a throne can intervene in your situation. Join us in fellowship at any Lord’s Chosen Worship Centre nearest to you and encounter the God who still turns impossibilities into testimonies. Your own testimony is next, in Jesus’ name.
