From Armed Robber To An Evangelist

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God

Ephesians 2.8

God of Heaven, showed mercy on our brother when all hopes were gone. Read his testimony below:

My name is Brother ONUORA CHIBUEZE I am from Imo State. I am so delighted to be in your midst this morning and this Apron on me is like a light to my life. I encountered this great God of Chosen yesterday being day 1 of the program titled From Sorrow to Joy 2024.

I lived a rugged and rough life in Port Harcourt, I was a cultist, and when I came down to Lagos State, I joined another group, and I became an armed robber. We do go for operations in various places in Lagos.

One day, on our way back from an operation at Idi Iroko, coming down from a convoy at idi iroko. Heading to Badagry, we were held down. I realized what the scripture said “The wicked must not go unpunished” That was where God held us captive. We had a shootout with police, customs, and some army officers. All my friends died at the scene of the crime, I was the only survivor with some bullets in my body.

After the incident, the police took me and the dead bodies to the station where I was interrogated, and I was put in prison. After eight years in prison, I was arraigned at the High Court and we had several adjournments.

On my last adjournment, I was to be condemned to death because they found 7 rifles and other sophisticated weapons on me. However, before my last adjournment a Chosen woman, fair in complexion came to the Badagary prison to preach. After the preaching, I answered the altar call. The woman prayed that God would free us in Jesus name.

On the last adjournment, which was the day of Judgment, it happened that there was confusion in the Court. Instead of the judge to sentence me to death, She kept writing and looking at me. The judge said “ with my virtue power, I hereby declare discharge and acquitted to the victim, I fainted in the court as a result of what I heard.

When I came out of the prison I said “If God will have mercy on me when I am supposed to die rather, He decided to set me free then I will not play with this great God of Chosen.

I started doing evangelism in my little way, telling people about the great God. And I was still looking for the Chosen woman that preached to me while I was in prison. However, I encountered a Chosen man in the street of Sura after my evangelism he told me that there is a place I am supposed to be that I am not supposed to belong to anyhow Church. The brother invited me to The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival movement that God will do many things in my life.

I decided to come to this program titled “From Sorrow to Joy” 2024. When I heard all G. O’s messages and scriptures, I said within me “yes” this is the real word of God, I will stay here.

On my way home after the program, a young man approached me, He said he saw light on my face. He asked “ Brother, can I talk to you “ and I answered “Yes” He told me that he had been going through some certain things. I told him that it was God that sent you to me. I told him that there was a place I experienced yesterday and that I wanted him to experience the place too. He came to church with me today, he is a newcomer. His name is UCHECHUKWU.

I want to appreciate God for giving me a second chance, he don’t allow me to die like my friends that died and went to hell.
