Bold Faith In Action: How God Canceled My Enemy’s Plans
Isaiah 54:17 (KJV): No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
When we put our faith in God and stand firm in His promises, He shows up in miraculous ways to fight our battles. Brother Nnamdi’s testimony is a profound reminder of God’s faithfulness to His children. Read how God demonstrated His power and sovereignty below:
My name is Brother Nnamdi Durugbo, and I reside at 53 Osundeyi, Mafoluku, Oshodi.
I have a landlord who is diabolic. He often boasts about his ability to “appear and disappear.”
One Thursday, during a church service, my Pastor empowered us with prayers to go and do exploits. I left the service feeling strengthened. When I got home, my wife told me the landlord had issued us a quit notice. I took the notice, read it, and smiled. This landlord had a history of evicting tenants unfairly, often giving them little time to vacate.
I reassured my wife, saying, “He has made a mistake by giving a Chosen man a quit notice. I returned from church today full of God’s power.”
I went upstairs and found the landlord and his wife eating. I said, “My wife delivered your message. What have I done wrong? I don’t owe you any rent.” He replied that he wanted to use the apartment.
I boldly told him, “You’re not afraid of Chosen ones? Today, I will show you that there is a God who owns heaven and earth. If you don’t cancel this quit notice with your lawyer by the end of this week, the reverse will happen—I will become the landlord, and you will become the tenant.”
As I walked back into my apartment, I felt a strong urge to make this statement public. I went outside and declared to everyone in the compound what I had told the landlord. Some people questioned my boldness, but I stood firm and went back inside.
That night, during our family prayers, I committed everything into God’s hands and went to sleep. Around 2:00 am, something woke me up and directed me to go outside. To my surprise, I saw blood everywhere in the compound, even at my doorstep. I laughed, went back inside, and brought out my anointed handkerchief blessed by my General Overseer. I soaked it in water, prayed over it, and sprinkled the blood of Jesus all over the area.
The following morning, after returning from morning crying, I met the landlord at the gate. He mentioned the blood and asked what happened. I told him, “God has taken over this matter.”
Not long after, the landlord came rushing into my apartment. He said he and his lawyer had canceled the quit notice. His lawyer even told him to allow me to stay as long as I wanted. Praise the Lord!
Second Testimony: When I traveled to my village, I met my two brothers who live abroad. During our discussions, my eldest brother confronted me, asking why I disturbed people in the compound with my morning cry while they were asleep.
I explained, “God has arrested me to preach and win souls, including you, for His kingdom.”
He mocked me, saying I was wasting my time serving God. He told me he planned to join politics and, once in power, he would teach my General Overseer a lesson. He also boasted about the little power he received from water.
From that moment, he became obsessed with trying to harm me. On my journey back to Lagos, he monitored me spiritually, plotting to take my life. But God protected me.
Upon reaching Lagos, I attended a vigil that night to finalize the battle spiritually. Shortly after, I received a call informing me that a rat had bitten my brother’s leg. He was flown to the hospital in Abuja but died on the spot.
This is how God delivered me from my brother’s evil plans. May His name be glorified forever!
