A Diagnosis That Defied Medicine, Until God Stepped In
Psalm 126:1–3 – When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing… The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
There are moments when faith collides with desperation, and what seems impossible bends to the power of God. That was the turning point for our sister, who had tried every medical option, exhausted every remedy, and was left with one final plea. What happened when she stepped into The Lord’s Chosen yesterday is nothing short of extraordinary.
Read her full testimony below:
My name is Sister Blessing Emetu, and I am from Uwheru in Delta State. Yesterday was my first time attending The Lord’s Chosen programme, and I came with a long-standing battle: breast cancer.
For months, I had moved from one hospital to another. I tried herbal treatments. Nothing helped. Doctors advised me to remove the breast, but the thought broke me. I kept wondering how I could leave home with two breasts and return with one. I cried often.
My elder brother is a member of The Lord’s Chosen. When I told him what I was going through, he urged me to come, assuring me that my situation was not beyond God. On Thursday, while watching television, I saw the advert for the programme. By Friday, I told my husband I needed to travel to Lagos, that Chosen would be my last stop.
When I arrived yesterday and walked through the church entrance, I prayed, “God, this is my last bus stop. I won’t go anywhere else again.” During the service, as the Pastor mentioned various illnesses, he called my exact condition. I stood up immediately, claimed the word, and declared that my case was settled.
Not long after, I noticed something had changed. The pain that had tormented me was gone, completely! I pressed the breast over and over again. No pain. No discomfort. Nothing. Joy overwhelmed me. At home, my husband, who was watching the programme, called to congratulate me.
Praise the Lord.
