9 Armed Robbers Could Not Stop Me – God Preserved Me And My Unborn Child
The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. – Psalm 34:7
There are situations where human strength cannot save a person, but the power of God can make all the difference. When danger surrounds us, God is able to preserve His children and bring them out safely, even when there seems to be no way of escape.
Chosen praise the Lord! My name is Sister Precious, and beside me is my daughter, Sister Chosen. I joined this great ministry in 2020, and I worship at Ayala Branch. I have come to thank God for the great thing He did for me and my daughter.
When I was pregnant with my daughter and she was about seven months in the womb, I travelled to Aba. On my way back from Aba through Okiri, I encountered armed robbers. There were nine of them, and some of them were very huge.
I was sitting in front of the vehicle, and when I saw them, I wanted to run. But I thought to myself, “Even if I am not pregnant, how can I escape from these people?” They were already very close to us.
Then I remembered who I am. I started declaring, “I am a Chosen! Where is the God of my pastor? The hour has come. Come and prove Yourself!”
The robbers continued approaching us, and the people inside the vehicle started shouting that I should pray. I told them, “The God of Chosen will not disappoint us. I know the God I serve.”
The armed robbers began shooting at us, but amazingly, the bullets did not enter the vehicle. They continued shooting, yet the bullets could not penetrate. I kept crying out, “Where is the God of my Daddy? Prove Yourself!”
At a point, they divided themselves. Three of them entered a motorcycle and began pursuing us. But instead of the motorcycle coming closer to us, it seemed as though they were moving backwards. I continued declaring, “Blood will never sprinkle, and I will not die!”
As I was making these declarations, I was holding my pregnant belly and telling God, “I will see the face of this child. I will not die.”
The armed robbers continued shooting, and all we could hear was the sound of the bullets hitting something, but the bullets did not enter the vehicle. It was as if an invisible hand was protecting us.
At a point, our driver began reversing while the armed robbers pursued us, but they could not reach us, even though the distance between us was not far. The driver continued reversing, and the robbers on the motorcycle rushed towards our vehicle and fired what appeared to be their last bullet at us. We heard the sound, but the bullet did not enter.
It became clear to us that it was the finger of God at work.
We eventually travelled back to Umuahia that night to stay. When I came down from the vehicle, I knelt down and began to glorify God. People around were amazed and were saying that nobody could survive such an encounter. When they heard that a pregnant woman was inside the vehicle, I looked at them without saying anything.
Then someone said, “She is a Chosen, and that is why those armed robbers could not get to them.”
I want to thank the God of Chosen because only God could have done what happened that day. Anytime I look at my daughter, I remember what the enemy wanted to do and how God preserved us so that I could see her face.
I thank God that both my daughter and I are alive. After everything, I gave birth to her safely. Even when I later rushed to the hospital because of some complications, the doctor examined me and said, “Precious, you are okay. Everything is normal.”
I have come to return all the glory, honour and adoration to God for preserving my life, preserving my unborn child, and bringing us safely through an encounter that could have ended differently. Truly, the God of Chosen is a God who saves, preserves and delivers.
Chosen praise the Lord! Praise Master Jesus!
